Hello, thank you for your interest in Groton Wellness, welcome to our wellness community! Our personalized biological dentistrypractice enables us to consider you, our patient, as a whole person, not merely a “dental case.” Therefore, we have the unique opportunity to evaluate every patient as a unique being and develop every treatment, procedure, and protocol from an individualized holistic standpoint. Our goal is to improve your dental and overall health.
Upon scheduling your first appointment, we will email you a New Patient Intake Form that you will print, complete and bring to your initial dental appointment. We require a $100 deposit upon booking your initial appointment, this is a reservation fee that will be applied towards your first visit. This fee is entirely refundable if you decide not to keep your appointment (provided you cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours prior).
Our x-ray equipment is state-of-the-art. Our panoramic x-ray machine’s exposure is as low as using an IPad.
Please note that current x-rays are a requirement for all new dental patients. We cannot treat or create a treatment plan without them. Once you’ve booked your appointment we will give you information in regards to obtaining x-rays from your prior dentist, if you would like.If not, we will be happy to take x-rays the day of your initial dental appointment.
Upon your arrival, one of our dental assistants will take any necessary x-rays or intra-oral pictures and review your medical history form.
The dentist will then complete a comprehensive exam evaluating your temporomandibular joints (TMJ), gum health and soft tissue, looking for any oral cancer lesions, and will make detailed notes about each/all of your teeth. The dentist will then discuss their findings with you and explain recommended treatment options.
Following this, you will meet with the Patient Care Coordinator, who will review recommended treatment options and answer any questions you may have. This is also an opportunity to go over our financial policy/financing options.
Please plan for a 3-hour visit.
Every new patient has the opportunity to be scheduled with our Clinical MedicalDirector for a free half-hour Mercury Removal Medical Consultation. When possible we will book your free consultation the day of your initial dental appointment, if not we will schedule it for a later date – either in the office or by phone. This is also an opportunity for you to learn about the many alternative wellness offerings/treatments we provide. Each one is mindfully designed to further assist you in your quest fortotal health andwell-being.
Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.
If you are in pain or have an immediate dental concern, we will want to see you for an emergency appointment. At this appointment, we’ll take any necessary x-rays and treat your problem immediately. After we’ve remedied this problem, we’ll schedule you for your initial comprehensive exam (as described above).
We are a fee-for-service provider, which means we require payment for services on the day of your visit. We would be happy, however, to file an insurance claim for you. Just note that any reimbursement would come directly to you and not through our office.
Groton Wellness works with Care Credit for all payment plan options, including aone-year interest-free payment plan. Please visit the Care Creditwebsite for more information.
We hope this comprehensive explanation of our process helps you understand just how very different our approach to your total wellbeing is. We value your time and energy and want to set both on the most positive, productive course possible, relieving you of any and all stress you may have aboutdental care.
